what a great two days we've had! yesterday i spent time with friends, eating lots of potstickers and talking and laughing (thanks, sue lin!) ~ then i spent time with my guys, going on an adventure to Santa's Ranch just north of new braunfels. so fun! we put the bub in his jammies and headed out around 6pm. we got him a happy meal to keep him occupied and awake while we made our trek to the ranch. christmas music on the radio. hot mocha's from mickey d's. then lights and lights and more lights! so pretty. lyle really got into it, and we were lucky enough to be the only ones there - so we were able to take our time :) back at home with the bub in bed, sean and i made a fire in our little grill and ate dinner outside under our own christmas lights. our fire didn't really get too big, so we had to retreat indoors to finish our christmas beers :)
then today, sean and i ate lunch outside at Blue Star on the river. what a terrifically gorgeous day it was! we lingered over our beers and watched the birds. lovely. on the way home from lunch, i stopped off at big lots to buy some christmas gifts to donate and ended up bringing home a new tree for the house - a fabulous blue tinsel tree with white lights!! it's so awesome - i can't wait to decorate it!! where shall it go?? i'm thinking our bedroom - right next to my latest craiglist purchase, the $5 turquoise chair :) i'll post photos later ~ as soon as i get new batteries for my camera. i need to get on that!
