yay ~ a pic of the bub with his beautifully painted pumpkin! thanks, louise, for remembering to take your camera to the park that day - unlike me! the week has flown by - and i can't quite remember what we've done. it sucks to get old :)the bub started mini-soccer lessons today at the jewish community center - i hope he had fun! tomorrow is the fall festival and halloween party at school - woo hoo!! i'm volunteering for the whole thing - should be fun. i'm looking forward to seeing all of the little kids in their costumes. lyle is going as a fireman - i'll be sure to remember my camera tomorrow :)
i voted on tuesday - GO OBAMA!!!! i have to say that this whole election has put me in a bit of a funk. i just hate all of the nastiness that seems to come out of presidential elections. and when did it become un-american to be a liberal or an intellectual? ugh. i guess i'm also a bad person because i don't go to church. double ugh. i believe in a higher power - and that power is full of love and compassion and tolerance for ALL people of ALL faiths. i suppose there are extremists on each side - i just wish they didn't get all the news coverage. yikes. anyway - i'm going to be on pins and needles until tuesday nite. i really, really, really want obama to win :)
things to be thankful for today: the gorgeous weather, my nicely manicured lawn (thanks, will and ruby), shiner's new holiday beer (it's freakin awesome!), tapu coming tomorrow for a visit, ugly betty's on tv tonite, my cleaned-out pantry (thanks, sean), the day off tomorrow, halloween candy, and the nap i plan to take later :)
