a full day of friends ~ i met katie, rebecca, julia and ingrid at onion creek for lunch. it was great seeing them and hanging out at one of my old haunts in houston. i had a yummy goat cheese salad with strawberries and toasted almonds - and washed it down with a frozen mimosa - how cool is that? i just really miss my old friends in houston - i've known them all for such a long time, and i can talk to them about anything. though i do love san antonio, i have to say that i have some days when i really want to move back to houston. the landscape isn't as pretty in h-town, but it doesn't seem to matter as much to me as it used to ~ i must be getting sentimental in my old age :)
later in the day i met sweet diane for beer and nachos - i hadn't seen her since june - that's too long to go between visits! i miss her lots and lots. it was good to catch up and talk about things. once i got home i hung out with my mom and finished off the last of the pumpkin pie (yay october!) while trying to get the bub to fall asleep. it's been a good visit, and tomorrow we head back to SA - here's hoping for another uneventful, safe journey home :) nighty night!
