3 ~ letters and herbs

digging into lyle's folder after school is always a treat ~ i love to see what he worked on during the day! his letters are getting so much better, and his pictures are a trip! it's amazing how a page full of scribbles somehow becomes a pirate ship or an upside-down statue with a tail or planet earth complete with trees and birds and people or dinosaurs swimming in a river . . . awesome! i like to keep them in this red bucket in the kitchen - that way i can take a look whenever i need a little boost :)

my basil and rosemary are growing like crazy ~ the basil is actually taller than the bub! the secret is positioning your planter of herbs directly under a window ac unit ~ thank you, linda! the constant drip, drip, drip of condensation makes your herbs very happy :) i think the rosemary loves the cooler weather too ~ it seems like all of the plants are smiling these days - with the exception of our grass which is pretty sad and crunchy.
